Speaker Profile:
Dr. Dong Shipei, a postdoctoral researcher in Geology at Lanzhou University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Earth System Science from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, in December 2022. Her research focuses on aeolian geomorphology and environmental evolution, particularly the modern processes of sedimentary proxy indicators and quantitative environmental reconstruction in arid desert regions. She has published 19 academic papers, including 6 first/corresponding-author papers in SCI-indexed journals such as Catena, Geomorphology, Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, and Journal of Earth Science. She currently leads research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Program and the Postdoctoral Special Project of Gansu Natural Science Foundation, and has received Category B funding from the National Postdoctoral Researchers Support Program.
