Zhang Yun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University. She is a doctoral supervisor for professional degree programs and a master's supervisor. Her research focuses on environmental pollution control and ecological restoration, particularly in deep desulfurization of fuels at room temperature and environmental risk assessment of emerging pollutants.
She has published over 40 papers as the first or corresponding author in leading journals such asACS Nano,Chemistry of Materials,Applied Catalysis B: Environmental,ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces,ACS Applied Nano Materials,Journal of Materials Chemistry,Journal of Hazardous Materials, andChemical Engineering Journal. She has led research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Fund), China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (General Program), Key Ecological Civilization Projects of Gansu Province, and the China Postdoctoral International Exchange Program, with a total funding of over 4.5 million RMB in the past three years.
Professor Zhang is also a reviewer for top journals includingNature Communications,Energy & Environmental Science,ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces,ACS Applied Nano Materials,Journal of Materials Chemistry, andJournal of Hazardous Materials. During her PhD studies, she conducted joint training at the University of Vienna in Austria and completed postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States.
